Peter Shaft, MSW, an ICSW faculty member, is a graduate of the Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program, an advanced candidate in the Psychoanalytic Education Program in child and adult psychoanalysis at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, and a graduate of New Directions in Psychoanalytic Thought at the Washington (D.C.) Center for Psychoanalysis. He maintains a practice in Chicago and Oak Park largely focused on work with children and their families, and consultation to other professionals.  It is his aspiration to acquire the discipline to write daily about dynamic clinical practice.
