Gina Shropshire, PhD, is a psychoanalytically-informed psychotherapist and candidate psychoanalyst in private practice in Rogers Park and the Loop in Chicago, licensed clinical social worker with a background in community mental health, and has been in the field for over 20 years. Gina began teaching at ICSW in 2015.

AREAS OF INTEREST & APPROACHES TO PRACTICE

Gina sees individuals of all ages in her psychotherapy practice, but the majority of clients are college students and young adults. She is interested in community practice and in the application of psychoanalytic ideas to sociocultural phenomena, particularly those related to religion, music and popular culture.
